About the role, Your Impact

Baxter & Woodman has a rewarding opportunity for a paid engineering internship in our Green Cove Springs or St. Augustine, FL office. This on-the-job experience will support the firm’s water resource group with the design and construction of a variety of facilities and offer the opportunity to work directly with our firm clients. A variety of responsibilities and duties will provide a well-rounded background in engineering.

What your day-to-day will look like, what you will learn on the job

• Assisting senior engineers with the evaluation, study and design of stormwater systems.
• Work on a variety of projects including municipal and county, to complete roadway, stormwater, underground utility, and infrastructure improvements.
• Field work, studies and design of stormwater retrofit systems in response to future sea level rise.
• Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling computation and analysis.
• Work independently on a variety of tasks including CAD, Drainage Design, Quantity Computation, Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection Systems Design, and Data Collection

Education Requirement

• Ongoing pursuit of a 4-year degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

Must-haves, what you will bring

• Maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.0/4.0
• Available to start May 2026.
• Ability to travel throughout Palm Beach County and Broward County areas (own transportation).
• Ability to work in a team environment on a variety of projects.
• Strong verbal, computer, organizational, and writing skills.

Compensation The hourly pay for this role is $23.00. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.
