Job Description

The Questrom School of Business is expanding its professional academic advising team. Each advisor will support a caseload of approximately 250 undergraduate business students through holistic and student-centered advising that promotes thoughtful exploration, and the achievement of academic and personal goals. Advisors guide students in course selection, interpret academic policies and degree requirements, monitor academic progress, and maintain records in accordance with university and legal standards. They also connect students with campus resources, enrichment opportunities, and support services, contributing meaningfully to student success across the undergraduate experience.

Required Skills

Bachelor's Degree required and 1-3 years of work experience. Excellent interpersonal skills and strong written and oral communication abilities. Additional Qualifications include:

  • Good judgement and the ability to handle confidential materials with discretion.
  • A collaborative work approach and the ability to work well with students, faculty, and staff with diverse identities and from a range of backgrounds.
  • Highly organized and attentive to detail.
  • Ability to use systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Zoom in the work environment and willingness to learn new software systems.
