Schedule: 3rd Shift -10:00 PM 6:30 AM, must be able to train on 1st shift for 3-6 months (6-2:30)

Tekberry is looking for a highly qualified and motivated Masker to work on-site with our client, a worldwide designer, manufacturer, and integrator of precision control components company. The Masker is responsible for masking or unmasking various products and parts for painting or selective plating. The role requires interpreting blueprints and following written and verbal instructions to ensure effective masking procedures. As a W2 employee you will have access to health benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Masks or unmasks various products and parts for painting or selective plating.
• Interprets blueprints and follows written and verbal instructions to determine the most effective masking procedures.
• Uses masking tape, paint, wax, and protective devices to selectively mask off certain sections of parts or units.
• Utilizes various hand tools such as punches, scissors, brushes, knives, or razor blades to cut and remove tape.
• Positions protective coatings on parts or units per instructions.
• Removes tape, wax, paint, and other protective coatings after selective painting or plating processes.
• Touches up paint-damaged parts using a brush.
• Adheres to all processing specifications to achieve blueprint requirements and maintain hardware quality.
• Demonstrates excellent safety practices and adheres to all safety rules.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Technical Skills:

• Must be computer-literate.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Experience using hand tools for masking applications.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 months of related manufacturing experience or training.
• Ability to work in a compliance-oriented, regulated environment.
• Strong visual and color vision (ability to distinguish colors and depth perception).
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. repeatedly.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with selective painting or plating processes.
• Prior masking experience in a manufacturing environment.
