Job Description

KFSN-TV/ABC30 Action News, the ABC Owned Television station in Central California, is seeking a full-time Sports Anchor/Reporter. This role includes anchoring weekend sportscasts. The successful candidate will shoot, write and edit sports stories for the station's top-rated newscasts and digital platforms. This person must be organized and work well under pressure and constant deadlines. They will be expected to have a strong understanding of local sports and develop contacts to help break major sports stories. We also want someone who is receptive to feedback and brings a positive attitude every day. **Responsibilities** : + Anchor weekend sportscasts. + Shoot, write, and edit sports stories, including feature packages. + Field report live from various sporting events. + Anchor for Sports Director as needed. **Basic Qualifications** : + A minimum of 3 years of experience is required. This is not an entry level position. + Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Knowledge of Dalet and Adobe Premiere are a plus. + Knowledge of the Central Valley and bilingual skills are a plus. **Required Education:** + College degree \#JConference2025 The hiring range for this union role in California is $52,500 to $76,654 per year. The base pay actually offered may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. The role also has potential for additional compensation for overtime and early morning/overnight shifts.
